The small fishing village of L'Ametlla de Mar is situated close to one of Spain's most beautiful nature reserves, the Ebro delta. The Ebro is the largest river in northern Spain and its delta is spread over many miles until it finally reaches the Mediterranean Sea, providing a real Eldorado for nature lovers. If you travel inland from L'Ametlla, you will find a very attractive area for walking or mountain biking in the Sierra del Boix. Further south lies the beautiful city of Tortosa, with lots of interesting sights, and the white village of Peniscola with its stately castle.
