Information

Beachfront holiday hotels in Spain are numerous in the Costa Spanish resorts. The largest of the Spanish resorts,(including Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol with their endless beaches and corresponding beachfront hotel choice), literally have holiday beachfront hotels along their full stretches of beach.

The beaches of the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca, which are particularly long, wide and level with adjacent paseo maritims, have a huge choice of all inclusive beach holiday hotels. Look to beach listings here on Iknow Spain for a huge choice in Torremolinos, Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Benidorm.

Lesser known are the long and wide beaches of the Costa del Azahar north of Valencia. Look to beach resort hotspots such as Peniscola and Alcoceber here for a good choice of beach hotels. Salou on the Costa Dorada has a number of great family holiday beaches all surrounded by beach holiday hotels, Other excellent Spanish resort choices for endless beach and good beachfront hotel choice include the relaxing Costa Almeria and Roquetas de Mar which has one of the longest Paseo Maritims on the Med! Plenty of space for beachfront all inclusive hotels here in Roquetas. Wherever you find Span best beaches, be it on the stunning Andalucian coast of the Costa de la Luz or Benidorms best two blue flag beaches Playa Levante and Playa Poniente, you'll find a good choice of beachfront hotels too.

Best Beach Resort Holidays Spain

The hub of famous beach resorts and best beaches in Spain is along the Mediterranean east coast. Each of the Spanish Costas have their own best beaches, from Benidorm's glorious blue flag beaches on the Costa Blanca to old favourites Torremolinos beaches and PlayaMar or Nerja's stunning cove beaches on the Costa del Sol. Lesser known are the stunning beaches on Spain's Costa de la Luz. Here on the Cadiz and Huelva coasts you'll find the best of Andalucia's beaches. Not surprising then the Costa de la Luz is a hotspot beach holiday destination for the Spanish. More lesser known stunning beaches can be found around Costa Almeria's natural coastal park Cabo de Gata, or on the Costa Azahar at Peniscola and Benicassim. Things get a little rockier further north on the Costa Brava around Roses and Escartit - sublime beach bays framed by rocky coves perfect for scuba diving are on the menu up here.

Best beaches in Spain are a matter of taste and circumstance. For best family holiday beaches in top family holiday resorts look to the Costa Blanca and Benidorm Poniente or pretty Javea beach bay. On the Costa del Sol best family beaches include those at Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola. To the North, Salou's family beaches on the Costa Dorada and Lloret de Mar's choice of two blue flag beach bays is perfect for beach activity family holidays. Spanish cities are getting in on the best beach holiday act. Have you heard - Barcelona's Barceloneta beaches rock! Likewise, Valencia city's beaches, also on the Mediterranean coast, are following Barcelona's example.

Barceloneta Barcelona Beaches

Stretching towards the Olympic Port area, all of Barcelona's Barceloneta beachfront and beach area have been extensively redeveloped to great effect. Barcelona beaches include first Platja Sant Sebastia which moves into Platja de Sant Miquel and Platja Barceloneta. Urban beaches don't get much better than Barcelona's beach choice. Lazy beach cafes are dotted along the beaches, alongside striking public art and a wide Paseo where cycling, roller skating and skateboarding are all popular. Perfect for familiy beach holidays, Barcelona can offer both city break and beach holiday all in one!

In all Barcelona's Barceloneta beaches cover around 4 km and they're particularly crowded in peak season, popular with locals and visitors alike. Further developments are promising a marine wildlife park, two green areas and another bathing area.
