Aqualandia Benidorm Waterpark Costa Blanca

Aqualandia, Benidorm's mammoth waterpark is the largest in Europe so waterpark fans will be in heaven here. With a choice of water rides and splashes appealing to all age ranges, Aqualandia deserves at least a couple of visits. Aqualandia Waterpark sits conveniently right near Playa De Levante to the east of the beach near Benidorm Palace.

Mundomar Animal Park Benidorm Family Attraction

Conveniently situated right next to Aqualandia, Mundomar is a huge animal park with a number of demonstrations running daily including dolphins and parrots. See tropical fish, penguins, tortoises, prairie dogs, bats, sea lions and more.

This all inclusive Benidorm family attraction has restaurant, gift shop, kids playground and snack bar all on-site.

Terra Mitica & Terra Natura Benidorm Holiday Attractions

If you can't get to Rome, Greece or Egypt never mind, you can spend the day here in Benidorm's Terra Mitica instead! These mock little worlds are packed with fun amusement park rides (checkout the Labyrinth of the Minotaur in Greece!), shows (more than 50 shows daily including Gladiators fighting) and a choice of shops and restaurants. Just next door to Terra Mitica more family holiday fun's afoot at Terra Natura, a wildlife park come zoo covering a huge 320,000 square metres. Areas are split into four - Pangea, America, Asia and Europe. Elephants, parrots and tarantulas and scorpions are among the more than 1500 animals and 200 different species here. Birds of Prey and Parrot shows run alongside attractions such as face painting, donkey rides and some rather entertaining 'ancestral' dances during which all the family can let themselves go. You can even fly over the park on the 'Flying Fox'. Catering brilliantly for children, both Terra Mitica and Terra Natura promise hours of entertainment for all the family. Benidorm Boat Trips to Isla Benidorm, Calpe & Tabarca

Just before the old town promontory coming from Poniente, Excursiones Maritimas Benidorm have a little office where you can book on boat trips to Isla Benidorm (the little offshore island), Calpe further north along the Costa Blanca Coast and Tabarca island south near Alicante.

Prices are very reasonable (see Boat Trips Benidorm weblink right for up-to-date prices), and the Isla de Benidorm boat trip is in a glass bottom boat so you've views of the underwater world. Benidorm's little offshore island can be seen clearly (best from Poniente beach). Boat trips to here depart hourly from the Benidorm waterfront from 10am.

Also on offer are mini cruises to Calpe, a pretty and bustling resort further north up the Coast Blanca coast. Distincitve for its huge rock, the Penon De Ilfach, you'll disembark by the rock and have plenty of time to explore Calpe beach and town. The cruise departs at 11.30am with return at 4.30pm. The boat trip from Benidorm to Calpe is one hour each way, and takes in the pretty coves and beach bays of Altea with views of the Sierra Helada.

Another of the Costa Blanca's offshore islands is situated south offshore from Alicante. Boat trips from Benidorm to Tabarca depart at 11.30am, returning at 4.30pm allowing plenty of time to explore the historic buildings, beaches, coves, shops and restaurants on Tabarca which caters well for visitors. Journey time to Tabarca is 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Whilst the Isla Benidorm and Calpe boat trips operate daily (except Saturdays), the Tabarca boat trip is currently Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays only.
