Benalmadena local golf and a whole host of Benalmadena Costa family holiday attractions you won't be short of. They're all here aplenty and Benalmadena is attractive with creative sculptures near the prom on roundabouts, one of the best marinas on the Costa Del Sol, a popular casino offering flamenco and cabaret shows and some superb beaches stretching for another 9km.
Slightly inland the shopping area of Arroyo de Miel and further up the pretty whitewashed houses of Benalmadena are more added bonuses to this bustling resort base. The rising backdrop of the Sierra de Mijas mountains also gives Beanalmadena an attractive edge.
Tivoli World Amusement Park just inland from Benalmadena beachfront (easily reached via the open top Benalmadena sightseeing bus) offers a mix of entertainments including numerous funfair styled rides (knuckle ones for the daring and mini rides for the tots). The 60m sheer vertical drop of the relatively new Caida Libre is particularly hair-raising. here's a funfair feel here at Tivoli with old favourites like a big wheel, Twisters, Swing Boats and little carousel rides for younger visitors. Alongside this are a host of shows including flamenco dancing in the Andalusian Square, Wild West whoops in the Western Square with best barbecue Texas Grill inclusive and for smaller children the children's theatre and thematic Tivoli Landia Square performances. Also on-site are is the Tivoli Garden area, a rather jazzy botanic gardens, the model train exhibit and the Jurassic exhibit with lifesize model dinosaurs!
Adjacent to the Tivoli World Amusement park is the Benalmedena Aerial Cable car which climbs its gentle ascent 2600 metres from Benalmadena up to Mount Calamorro. The ride takes around 15 minutes and the views of the Costa Del Sol Coast and interior along the way and at the peak are spectacular and not to be missed! On a clear day you're likely to make out the African continent in the distance from the top!
Arriving at the top there's an exhibition on birds of prey - Mount Calamorro is home to eagles, falcons, owls and vultures. plus there's a Spanish dressage riding exhibition and numerous walking and mountain bike trails for exploring the site in-depth. Highly recommended, the cable car is open daily in the summer. See the Teleferico Benalmadena weblink right (Spanish only) or in English details are on the Visit Costa Del Sol site/Benalmadena.

Benalmadena's marina on the edge of the Torremolinos boundary is certainly a focal point within this Costa Del Sol resort. Benalmadena's beaches are narrower than the wide beaches of Torremolinos, but this gives them a cosier more approachable feel. Best beaches are towards the Marina on the eastern coastal stretch with promenade lining the beach. Move further west and Benalmadena's beaches become more cove like and slightly rockier.
Just adjacent to Benalmadena Marina sits the Sea Life Benalmadena attraction. Essentially a large aquarium with around 3000 marine creatures including turtles in the Turtle Reef zone. Other zones include the Tropical Lagoon, the Mediterranean Sea and Amazonia.
With a genuine educational slant, also on-site are other entertainments such as mini golf plus a shop and cafe.
