Reus Airport is proving increasingly popular with visitors from the United Kingdom. Most charter flights to Reus come from the UK. Many visitors will be connecting on from Reus to Barcelona, but others will be heading for the Costa Dorada coast and a short transfer time to popular Costa Dorada resorts like Salou.
Reus Airport sits just 3km southeast of Reus city (Antoni Gaudi's birthplace) and 13km for Tarragona with its historic medieval and Roman architecture. A number of low cost budget airlines run routes from UK airports direct to Reus, making the choice of cheap flights here excellent (see cheap flights Reus weblink right for flight comparison prices and booking). Passenger numbers moving through Reus airport have more than doubled between 1997 to 2007, and due to demand another terminal is currently being constructed here at Reus.
Bus service from Reus airport to Barcelona, Tarragona and elsewhere on the Costa Dorada is excellent. Timetables for buses from Reus to Barcelona and elsewhere are matched to flight arrival times.
